For international shipping outside the EU, a customs declaration is of great importance. This statement informs customs officials of the content and value of your package. The information in the customs content declaration is used to calculate the country-specific import sales taxes and duties, which must then be paid by the recipient.
In order to make customs processing smooth, it is important to fill out the corresponding CN 23 customs declaration for parcel shipping outside the EU. Attach the document clearly visible to the outside of your package in a shipping bag. However, when sending by post, the CN 22 customs declaration must be used. In any case, the customs declaration for shipping to North Korea should be on the address page of your shipment.
Please note that the customs declaration for shipping to North Korea, the world language English, must be completed. This ensures smooth processing by customs authorities to North Korea. Make sure that all information is correct and complete to avoid delays or problems with delivery.

There are very strict government import regulations and controls when shipping to North Korea. All shipments are handled centrally via Pyongyang and checked by customs and the relevant authorities. Customs duties and import sales tax apply in principle to all imported goods, with the amount of duties depending on the value of the goods, the type of goods and the intended use. In many cases, only government organizations, diplomatic missions or humanitarian institutions are allowed to import. Private shipments of goods from abroad are generally not allowed or are rejected. The customs authorities reserve the right to open, check and seize any shipment in case of violations of national regulations.
CUSTOMS ON GIFT SHIPMENTS
Gift shipments to North Korea are only allowed in exceptional cases. If approved, they must be marked as non-commercial and include a full value statement. There is no official exemption limit for gifts; even small packages can be checked by customs and charged. In most cases, gift shipments may only be sent to registered institutions, foreign missions or in a diplomatic context. Private gift shipments to individuals are generally not allowed.
